Celebration of International Yoga Day 2021 at DACRRI(H), Kolkata 

Celebration of International Yoga Day 2021 at DACRRI(H), Kolkata  Celebration of International Yoga Day 2021 at DACRRI(H), Kolkata    Kolkata : (Report :Sanatan Mahakud): On theeve of the 7th International Yoga Day celebration under the auspices of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, Dr. Anjali Chatterji Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy (DACRRI(H)), Kolkata has organized a week long programme on Yoga on Virtual platform from 15.6.2021 to 21.6.2021.  The theme of this year Yoga programme was “Be with Yoga, Be at Home”. This year the target group was mainly the school/college students, as they are one of the worst affected groups due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19. Keeping this in view, the programme was collaborated with four Homoeopathic Medical Colleges viz. ‘The Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital’, Mahesh Bhattacharya Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, PCM Homoeopathic Medical Hospital & College and Metropolitan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital. This Institute was also able to collaborate with two NGOs, namely Vivekananda Adarsha Milan Mandir, Kolkata & Riddhi Society for Remedial and Integrated Education, Kolkata, which are working for the cause of education of street children and specially abled children. Moreover, The Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata also became a stakeholder of the programme by organising the programme on the 21st June 2021 where nearly 200 participants took part in the programme. This particular programme was also available Live on the YouTube Channel of HIT.    All these programmes were demonstrated by Yoga Instructors viz. Ms. Ila Khandelia, Mr. Sanatan Mahakud, Ms. Mitali Ghorai, Mr. Uttam Adhikary and Ms. Rinku Saha on different days and on different proposed sites. The Principals or Head of the organisations of the aforesaid Institutes had given their full support and co-operation to implement the programme in order to popularise the theme of the programme and to make awareness of yoga among the students to make it successful. The Officer In-charge of DACRRI(H), Kolkata, Dr. P. S. Chakraborty, gave his thanks to all the participants of the participating Institutes & organisations, on behalf of the Institute and from the CCRH, New Delhi, as well.
